Finally, we have hit beautiful rural roads in Virginia. After dangerous roads through most of the south it was a dream come true for me to just roll along and enjoy the rural scenery without worrying about being run over. I love Virginia.
A relic from the past
A rest stop in rural Virginia
Our 69 mile day started off early and the morning was cool from a cold front that had moved through while we were sleeping. Most people were sleeping but the storm woke me. We’re all happy that the turbulent weather has moved out of the area and we should have good weather for the next few days. Today was an ideal day to ride and we definitely took advantage of it. Dick, Ron, Jacob and myself road at a steady pace and arrived at a beautiful campground where we’re tenting tonight.
