The team at the falls
We’re staying in a hipster hostel in Buffalo and we’re sleeping eight in a room and the oldest guy in the group is in a top bunk. Of course that person is me, the guy that has to visit the restroom four times a night. If I get injured on this adventure it will be tonight. There’s no respect for the old guy.
Today we had an easy ride. We traveled from Lockport to Niagara Falls and then to Buffalo. The roads were flat and of course the falls were breathtaking. The ride to Buffalo was on bike paths and I felt very safe. There were no cars zooming by my left shoulder.
On the way to Buffalo we stopped at a bike shop managed by Brian Joseph. Brian was the head route leader on the Pacific Coast ride that I did in 2019. After he got off of work we had a few beers together and also a few laughs.
Tomorrow we head towards Lake Erie and Western New York wine country. It’s only a 66 mile day so I hope I can really enjoy the back roads of Western New York.
